Todd Kolb is South Dakota's first and only Certified PGA Professional.
PGA Teaching Professional, Todd Kolb, is recognized as one of the top golf instructors
in the upper Midwest. He is one of a handful of instructors to be "Certified" in the
area of instruction by the PGA of America. Golf Digest and U.S. Kids Golf have recognized
him as a top teacher in his field. In 2007, Todd became the only golf professional in
South Dakota to achieve certification from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) in
golf fitness training.
With more then 15 years of teaching experience, working with beginners to professionals
throughout the country, Todd has given more than 7000 individual lessons and hundreds of
clinics. His unique combination of knowledge, communication tools and playing experience
have become the cornerstone of his teaching system that continuously produces results for
any level of player.
The Todd Kolb Golf Academy was opened in 2000 at the Willow Run Golf Course. Two heated
hitting bays combined with video and 3-D motion analysis, give students access to the
best learning environment in the area. Programs include golf schools, playing lessons,
fitness evaluations and a variety of individual and group lesson programs.
In 2007, Todd partnered with the Avera Sports Institute to create a winter golf training
facility. Highlighted by the Kinetic Golf Performance program, golfers now have access
to year round training. The facility is also home to Dakota Gold Soccer, SEBA, TIBS and
the Sioux Falls Storm.
Todd is the co-founder of Virtual Golf Instructor, the first and only online program that
combines game analysis software with specialized practice schedules. He is the contributing
golf editor for Prime Magazine and has produced his own golf video, Golf 101.
